Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh has expressed deep concern over two incidents of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Punjab. He said that incidents of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Gutka Sahib Ji are happening continuously in Punjab. These days, incidents of blasphemy are coming out somewhere, which is a matter of great concern. He demanded that strict action should be taken against the violators.
Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh said that today’s incident at Chhota Sahibzada Dargah in Morinda is an incitement to murder. A low class person came and beat up Granthi Singh who was sitting in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This is an insult to Sahib ji, he said that the government and the administration should take strict action against the accused.
Actions to push Punjab into darkness
Singh Sahib ji said that such actions are an act of pushing Punjab back to darkness, there are definitely big forces behind those who commit such blasphemy. Which needs to be highlighted. Singh Sahib said that Sikhs do not tolerate insults.
When the sentiments of Sikhs are hurt and Sikhs express their feelings, these people say that Sikhs spoil the atmosphere, Sikhs do not spoil the atmosphere.
