IRCTC has said in the advisory that there are reports that users are being targeted through fake mobile apps. Through this app, the fraudster is sending phishing links to many people. Users are being forced to download fake IRCTC Rail connect app. Common citizens are being cheated through this mobile app.
If you use IRCTC Rail Connect, make sure to download it from Google store or Apple app store. IRCTC has also issued an alert by sending an e-mail to its customers. IRCTC has said that do not click on any link found on whatsapp. By doing this, users can fall into online scams. IRCTC says that the government institutions have not sent any link to any user to download the app.

IRCTC advises that before installing any app, read its review. Be careful if you get complaints and low rating, because this app might be fake. Also check name and spelling and details before downloading any app.
