Indian young mountaineer Nitish Singh made India proud, hoisted the tricolor on Mount Ararat, Turkey’s highest peak.

Gorakhpur Mountaineer Nitish Singh: International youth mountaineer Nitish Singh from Gorakhpur conquered Turkey’s highest peak Mount Ararat (16854 feet) and proudly hoisted the tricolor on it. Nitish reached Istanbul from Delhi on 22 July 2023 to conquer this peak.
From there, after traveling for 22 hours by bus, they reached the city of Dogubeyazit in Turkey. After resting on 23rd July started the climb on 24th July at 8:00 AM. After about 6 hours of climbing, Nitish reached the first camp, which was at an altitude of 3000 meters.
Nitish said that there was some difficulty in climbing due to rain and bad weather. The next day, after 4 hours of hard climbing to the second camp, we reached the base camp at an altitude of 4200 meters around 1 am.
Nitish had to complete this mission in minimum time. The weather was very bad with only clouds visible above the base camp. Nitish left for the final summit on July 26 at 12:30 PM. Difficult and steep climb was difficult to climb to the top.
Nitish said that because the entire path was full of stones, where once or twice the stones came from above and once or twice he slipped and went down, due to which he was very scared. Moreover, the temperature was below minus 15 degrees.
He also told that sometimes the courage was broken while walking but the goal was to be fulfilled. Looking at the national flag gave me some strength. After a few hours of walking, when the destination appeared in front of me in the morning, I was more encouraged that now I had to win and go back alive.
Nitish told that the destination was very close. After about 6 hours, India’s magnificent tricolor was hoisted at 7:15 am Turkish time and 9:45 am Indian time. After this, the logo of HPCL, Indian Army and Government of Uttar Pradesh was hoisted on Mount Ararat.
Completed the entire ascent of Mount Ararat in 42 hours. Nitish is the first Indian to climb Mount Ararat, hoisting the tricolor of India on Mount Ararat, the highest mountain in Turkey.
On July 11, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited Executive Director Rajiv Goyal presented the logo of HPCL at the Mumbai headquarters for this mission of mountaineer Nitish Singh.
Best wishes were given to Nitish for this campaign. Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak presented the tricolor of India to Nitish at his residence and congratulated him for this mission.
Mountaineer Nitish Singh hails from Rajendra Nagar West New Colony, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. His original residence is Gram Sabha Rampur Gopalpur (Gonarpura), Block Chargaon, District Gorakhpur. Nitish Singh has studied B.Com from Kirori Mall College of Delhi University.
