According to the Indian Navy on the matter, the Indian Navy Advance Light Helicopter (ALH) had undertaken its routine sortie from Mumbai. During this it met with an accident near the coast. However, due to the immediate search and rescue operation, three crew members were safely rescued by the Naval Patrol Ship. At present, orders have been given to investigate the incident.
