Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter, “100 medals in the Asian Para Games! A moment of unprecedented joy. This success is the result of the talent, hard work and determination of our athletes. This wonderful milestone fills our hearts with great pride. I deeply appreciate and thank my athletes, coaches, and the entire support system I work with. These medals inspire us all. They serve as a reminder that nothing is impossible for our youth.”

Dilip Mahadu Gavit wins gold in men’s 400m T47 event. He captured the gold medal with a brilliant time of 49.48 seconds. For the first time, the Indian Para team has won 100 medals at these Games, making it their most successful Para Asian Games campaign so far. Let us tell you that the Asian Para Games are being organized for the fourth time and India has completed the hundred medals in the fourth attempt. Also, it took decades for India to achieve this feat in the Men’s Asian Games. India won more than 100 medals in the Asian Games 2023 just a few months ago. The highest number of medals for the country came in the previous Asian Para Games, when India won 72 medals including 15 gold, 24 silver and 33 bronze at Jakarta 2018.
