The T20 cricket match between India and Afghanistan is scheduled to be played on Thursday at the IS Brinda International Stadium of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), Mauhali. Security has been tightened by the Mohali police in this T-2 match. Two thousand police personnel have been deployed inside and outside. A day before the match SSP Dr. Sandeep Garg personally inspected the PCA stadium. He said that during this time, monitoring will be done with 1500 CCTV cameras. Video analytical head counting cameras have been installed at the entry gate. This will determine how many spectators will reach the stadium to watch the match.

SSP Dr. Garg said that a day before the match, an inspection was conducted inside the stadium by the teams of the dog squad. Along with this, strict checking was done at every checkpoint from outside as well. Every person in the PCA stadium will be strictly monitored during the match. For this, force has been called from outside states and battalions. 1000 cameras will be installed outside and inside the stadium for security during the match, while 500 cameras have been installed around and in the parking lots. A total of four special cameras including 500 megapixels have also been installed in the stadium, through which a clear picture of each person can be seen. This will help in identifying the audience in case of any disturbance.

These cameras will be installed in all four directions of the stadium. Its specialty will be whether the person sitting on the seat can be identified and a clear picture can be extracted from the video. The control room of the cameras will be in the stadium itself, where the administrative officials will keep a watchful eye. Apart from this, 15 anti-riot teams have been deployed. Eight parking slots have been provided for the safety and convenience of the spectators. SSP Mauhali said that the PCA management has been requested to put up placards and boards for the convenience of the spectators so that they do not face any kind of problem while entering the stadium. Traffic diversion has been done for the convenience of people living in the vicinity.
