DGP Gaurav Jadav: A high alert has been issued by the Punjab Police and in view of this, the holidays of all the employees have been canceled till April 14. The said orders have been issued by the Director General of Police, Punjab Police.
The DGP has sent a message to the heads of all the police offices and asked them to cancel the vacations of the employees till April 14. They have issued orders not to grant any new leave to the employee and at the same time to cancel the already granted leave.
According to the information received, this action has been taken by the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh, at the Takht Sri Damdama Sahib from April 12 to 15 under the Baisakhi celebrations. Let us tell you that a few days ago, Amritpal Singh appealed to Jathedar Harpreet Singh to call Sarbat Khalsa on the occasion of Baisakhi. While the Jathedar has announced to hold Gurmat ceremony at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib from 12th to 15th April.
It is to be mentioned that a meeting has also been called by the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Harpreet Singh today to discuss the current situation of Punjab.
