Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Punjab government is determined to punish those responsible for the death of Shubkaran Singh. Exemplary punishment will be ensured to those responsible for the death of this young man. He said that the person responsible for this heinous crime does not deserve any leniency and they will be punished befitting their crime.
Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced Rs 1 crore to Shubkaran's family. Along with this, Shubkaran's younger sister will also be given a government job.
CM Bhagwant Mann said that Shubkaran has been made the victim of a 'hate fired bullet', the person responsible for this heinous crime will not be shown any leniency and will be punished according to the crime. He said that after the investigation, an FIR will be registered against the people responsible for the death of this youth and it will be ensured that they are given strict punishment.

On the other hand, the postmortem of Shubhkaran Singh has not been done even today. The farmers are adamant on the demand of registering an FIR against the Haryana Police and the government. A discussion was also held between Punjab Police-Administration and farmers in this regard. The Punjab Police explained to the farmers that the Punjab Police had brought the dead body of Shubkaran from the border of Haryana. Haryana police can take action in this case. At the same time, the farmers say that the Haryana Police jawans have vandalized the tractors by entering the border of Punjab, in such a situation the Punjab Police should take action against the Haryana Police. He said that until a case is registered in Punjab against the Haryana Police, the postmortem of Shubkaran's dead body will not be conducted.
