Anup Kumar Vicky, the main accused in the murder case of Sarpanch Sandeep Kumar Chhina of Dadiana village in Hoshiarpur, was injured in a police encounter late on Tuesday night. In the retaliatory action by the police, two bullets hit the leg of the accused. The accused has been admitted to the Hoshiarpur government hospital.
It is being told that Vicky was hiding in Haryana after killing the Sarpanch. At around 11 o'clock on Tuesday night, when the police surrounded Vicky based on a tip-off, he started firing. Vicky was injured in the retaliatory action of the police.
He has been admitted to a government hospital. After first aid he was referred to Medical College Amritsar. The accused said that the Sarpanch had made our videos viral. Because of this he was murdered.
Five days ago, Sarpanch Chhina was shot dead by three persons inside his factory. One accused Rohit has already been arrested. Due to the non-arrest of the main accused Vicky, the relatives have not even conducted the post-mortem of Chhina yet. It was demanded that the last rites of Sarpanch Chhina will be performed only after the arrest of the main accused. The sarpanch was murdered due to a grudge.
