WATCH: Encounter in Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib district; three gangsters killed at Bassi Pathana | Punjab

Fatehgarh Sahib, February 22: Three gangsters were shot dead during an encounter with the Fatehgarh Sahib police at Bassi Pathana on Wednesday.

Two of the gangsters have been identified as Manpreet Peeta and Teja Mehandpuria. The identity of the third is yet to be identified, though as per sources, he is likely to be Nishant.

Teja Singh had been facing over 40 criminal cases in Punjab. The encounter was led by AGTF head Pramod Ban. He claimed that the gangsters were also part of the Phillaur killings. The gangsters were travelling in Thar, which was then left on the roadside with bullet marks. The area has been cordoned off and residents have been advised to remain indoors.

As per sources, SI Gurpreet Singh and constable Sukhraj sustained injuries. It is learnt Teja was lodged in Bathinda jail and came out on bail in November last.
