In Ludhiana, the young man dropped his girlfriend, the accused was arrested

In the park in front of Veer Palace on Chandigarh Road in Ludhiana late on Thursday evening, a man brutally killed a married man by hitting him in the chest with a sharp weapon. By the time her husband arrived with a married woman, the accused continued to attack her and managed to escape by putting her to death. Sarabjit Kaur, a resident of Chhoti Mundia area, who was injured in this attack, was rushed to the hospital for treatment where the doctors declared her brought dead.

The accused has been arrested by the police. The accused was upset that the deceased hid the fact that she was married from him. He lied to the accused and took one lakh rupees that he had to get bail for his brother. It was later learned that her husband was in jail.

After the husband’s bail, the woman stopped talking and the matter was revealed. The young man called his girlfriend to Veer Palace for a conversation and stabbed her to death in front of her husband. The accused was identified as Jatinder Singh resident of village Dhindsa Tehsil Samrala.

Police Focal Point SHO Amandeep Singh Brar said that when the woman’s husband Avtar Singh was in jail, Sarabjit Kaur started talking to Jitendra on the phone. Accused Jitendra told them that he also had a relationship with a woman after which he wanted to marry her. The woman lied to him that she was not married. Due to this grudge, he killed him. The police have also recovered the knife used in the incident from the accused Jitendra.

Police investigation revealed that the woman was married to Avtar Singh, a resident of Mangali Uchi village, a year ago. Sarabjit Kaur had a love marriage with Avtar Singh. Due to this, he lived apart from the family along with Sarabjit Kaur. Avtar Singh was lodged in jail in Case No. 200/222, IPC 379, 407, 182, 120-B in Thana Khanna, whose bail was secured by Sarabjit Kaur by taking money from Jitinder.
