In Kharar, robbers escaped with gold and lakhs of cash of an old woman tied hands and feet

In Kharar, two robbers entered the house and tied the hands and mouth of an old woman lying alone and robbed the jewelery and cash worth lakhs of rupees kept in the house and escaped. The woman's son is a choreographer.

The incident took place on the top floor of flat number 39 near gate number 3 of Shivjot Enclave at around 9.15 pm on Monday night. The miscreants have stolen around 25 tola gold ornaments and five lakh rupees from the house. The police have registered a case on the complaint of choreographer Rajneesh and started investigation.

Due to this incident in the densely populated Shivjot Enclave, the people living there are extremely scared. Kharar DSP Karan Singh Sandhu, City Police SHO Mandeep Singh along with police personnel inspected the spot on Tuesday evening. After the information, Rajneesh's wife also reached there. While Rajneesh has sent the scared mother to Hoshiarpur. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

The manner in which the robbery was carried out suggests that the robbers were acquaintances of the family. They knocked on the door of the house only 5 minutes after Rajneesh's departure and opened the door saying that their mother was an acquaintance of Rajneesh.

In Shivjot Enclave, the area where the robbery took place is very crowded. Apart from this, security personnel are also posted in the colony. Still, such a major incident in the area raises questions about the security of the colony.
