Bureau report : Speeding rage in Tanda of Hoshiarpur claimed one life while 8 lives are at stake. The speeding car first hit the divider and then went into the second lane and hit the bike rider. One person died in the accident. While 8 people have been seriously injured and have been admitted to hospital, the accident took place near Darapur Bypass on Pathankot Highway.
According to information, Inspector Ravinder of Uttar Pradesh Police, Sangar Vihar Meerut along with his family was going to worship Mata Vaishno Devi in Tata vehicle number UP-15DX-9538.
The car was being driven by Inspector Ravindra’s son Vivek, as soon as the car reached the Dara Bypass in Tanda, it collided with the highway divider, after which the car instead of stopping went into the second lane and the oncoming car number PB- 07BT-07-0040 and collided with a motorcycle. In the accident, Satnam Singh, who was driving car number PB-07BT-07-0040, died on the spot.

The accident took place at around 4 o’clock in the evening, Sandeep, Chetan and Bure Jatta, who were riding in the car along with Satnam, were injured. While Inspector Ravindra, his son Vivek, wife Pavitra, Vandana, daughter-in-law Anchal were seriously injured in the Uttar Pradesh car number. All the injured were first taken to Civil Hospital Tanda, where Ravinder, Vivek, Pavitar, Vandana and Anchal have been referred to Hoshiarpur due to their critical condition.
