The books of the next session will reach about 20,000 government schools in the state in March itself. The printing work of these 1.25 crore books has almost been completed.

For the past several years, there has been a complaint from students as well as parents that they get books after half of the session is over.

Every year students and their parents complain that they are not getting complete books even though the session is half over. In such a situation, PSEB has set the target of printing the books in February itself so that the books are delivered to all the schools in March. Apart from government schools, the board also sells books of various subjects to private schools.

In many districts including Ludhiana, the supply of books from 6th to 12th for the session 2022-23 could not be completed. The board said the lack of books, which were dispatched later, was due to lack of proper assessment of demand due to Covid.

Former Chairman of Punjab School Education Department Prof. Yograj said that the board is ready to provide books at the beginning of the session at its level. The Board will provide the complete set of books to its area depot by 28th February 2023, so that all the students get the books before the session.
