Gurdaspur: Many people have lost their homes due to love affairs and many youths have lost their lives. The latest case has come to light from the village of Pahra in Gurdaspur, where a 25-year-old Shubham was murdered and his body was thrown in the fields of the village itself.
It is being told that the deceased young Shubham had a love affair with a girl from the village. A few months ago, due to the girl’s marriage, both the parties were asked to sit in the police station and resign not to meet each other, but today, due to her murder, the family members of the deceased youth have accused the girl’s family of killing her. The police officers who reached the spot took possession of the dead body and started the investigation.
The family members of the deceased said that Shubham had a love relationship with the village girl since the 8th class and the girl got married a few months ago and the girl’s family was threatening to kill their boy. Due to which both the parties had resigned sitting in the police station and the girl’s brother came to their house yesterday and fraudulently took their son with him and the whole night their son did not come home. In the morning, his body was found in the fields of the village. He said that his son was killed by the girl’s brothers. They have demanded that strict action should be taken against the girl’s family.
Amandeep Kaur, SHO of Tibar police station, who is investigating the case, said that as soon as the incident was known, they reached the spot and took possession of the dead body and sent it for post-mortem. Further action will be taken by recording the statements of the family members. He said that the cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report.
