Kanpur News: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has announced the dates and details for the fifth edition of its three-day annual event, the National Student Research Conference (NSRC-23), which will be held from 3 to 5 March 2023 this year.

This year’s theme is Medtech and Healthcare: The Welfare of Humanity.Kanpur While startups from all over the country will participate in this conference, experts will also give success tips to these youth. Dr. D. Nageswara Reddy, President of Gastroenterology and Head of the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, and Prof. K. Vijayaraghavan, former Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, will participate as keynote speakers in this conference.

Medtech and Healthcare Theme of the Welfare of Humanity Program

Organized at IIT Kanpur, the conference will also have a workshop on Design Thinking for Medical Device Prototyping. Dr.Devjyoti Chakraborty, Principal Scientist, CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, Dr.Anoop Singh, IIT Delhi, Prof. Amitabh Bandopadhyay, IIT Kanpur, Prof. Shivakumar, Coordinator, Center for Nanosciences, IIT Kanpur, Pfizer Healthcare India Pvt. Ltd. Scientist Dr. Kiran Iyer etc. will give training to the youth. Prof. J. Ramkumar and Dr. Amandeep Singh of Imagination Laboratory told that in this workshop there will be training on Manufacturing Engineering, Medical Device Manufacturing, Rapid Manufacturing.

Medtech the focus of NSRC-23 this year

NSRC-23 (NSRC-23) Talking about it, Professor Abhay Karandikar, Director, IIT Kanpur, said that the pandemic has not only emphasized the need for a healthcare system, but technology can play a key role in making it more efficient.
