Amit Shah will visit Karnataka Puttur on February 11

Mangaluru: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will visit Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district on February 11 to participate in the cooperative convention. The convention is being organized at Puttur on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing & Processing Cooperative Limited (CAMPCO).

CAMPCO sources said that the program would be held at Vivekananda Shikshan Sansthan in Tenkila at 3 pm. He said that Shah would also visit the chocolate factory of CAMPCO located at Puttur. This is Shah’s first visit to Dakshina Kannada ahead of the assembly elections in the state.

At present the Sankalp Abhiyan of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going on in Puttur Taluk. Party sources said that as part of the campaign, Shah is also expected to participate in the conference to be held in Puttur. The BJP had won seven of the eight assembly seats in Dakshina Kannada district in the 2018 elections. (agency)
