ICC Women’s T-20 World Cup will start from today

The 8th edition of Women’s T20 World Cup is going to start from today in South Africa. 10 teams will participate in this tournament. This tournament will last for 17 days. The first match between the hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka will be played tonight at 10.30 pm. It will be held from February 10 to 26 and a total of 23 matches will be played.

This time, 10 teams have been divided into 2 groups of 5 each in the 17-day tournament. Till February 21, 20 group stage matches will be played between 10 teams. Some group stage matches will start from 6.30 pm and some from 10.30 pm. The top 2 teams of both the groups will reach the semi-finals. After February 23 and 24, the final match will be played on February 26 at the Newlands ground in Cape Town. All the knockout bouts will start at 6.30 pm.

This time only 10 teams were placed in the tournament. 5 teams were placed in Group-1 and the remaining 5 teams were placed in Group-2. Team India is in Group-2 along with one-time champions England and West Indies. Pakistan and Ireland are also in this group. Meanwhile, defending champion Australia team is in Group-1 along with Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Let us tell you that on February 12, Team India will play its first match against Pakistan. India’s match in Cape Town itself will start at 6.30 pm. The remaining matches of India will be against West Indies on February 15, England on February 18 and Ireland on February 20. All matches will start from 6.30 pm.
