Wrestler Bajrang Punia and farmer leader Rakesh Tikait have arrived to meet Sports Minister Anurag Thakur today. Some other wrestlers demanding the arrest of the former president of the Wrestling Federation, Brij Bhushan, may reach the minister’s house.
Before the meeting with Anurag Thakur, wrestler Sakshi Malik said that we will see what the government proposes to us. Our main demand is the arrest of Brijbhushan. If we like the government’s proposal, we will take advice from Khap leaders. We will not end our movement.
Let it be known that Anurag Thakur had said on Tuesday that the government is ready to talk with the wrestlers. We have invited them again. Earlier on January 24, there was a discussion between the sports minister and the wrestlers and the wrestlers withdrew the agitation. Recently, on June 4, wrestlers also met Home Minister Amit Shah.
