to make it you need

Samak rice – 1 cup
Peanuts – 4 tbsp (crushed)
Ghee – 3 tbsp
Potato – 1 (cut into small pieces)
Rock salt (as per taste)
Curd – 4 tbsp
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
star anise – 1
Cloves – 4
Cinnamon stick – 1
Curry leaves – 8-10
Green chili – 4 (finely chopped)
coriander leaves
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp

How to prepare Samak Rice Khichdi

First of all, wash the Samak rice thoroughly and keep it aside.

Now put the cooker on medium flame and put ghee in it and let it heat up.

When it becomes hot, add cumin, star anise, cloves and cinnamon to it. Then add curry leaves and crushed peanuts and fry all together.

After this add potatoes, salt and garam masala. Cook everything well for 1 minute.

Then add samak rice, curd, coriander leaves and water according to quantity and cook till three whistles come.

After that take it down from the gas and wait for the pressure to open. When the pressure opens, take it out in a plate and garnish with coriander leaves.
