Gurinder Singh Aujla, the accomplice of Waris Punjab organization chief Amritpal Singh, lodged in Dibrugarh jail, and others have termed the NSA used against him as illegal. The petitioner has challenged the NSA imposed on him by the Punjab Police in the High Court, which is to be heard today.

The Punjab and Central Government have to file their reply in the Punjab and Haryana High Court today. Earlier, on the petition filed by Gurinder Aujla, the High Court had issued a notice to the Central and Punjab governments and ordered them to file a reply. In the petition filed, Aujla said that the government had launched a campaign to arrest Amritpal. But he was also caught under this campaign.

Gurinder Singh Aujla and other petitioners who appeared in the High Court include Pradhan Bajeke, Gurmeet Singh Bukkanwala, Kulwant Singh Raike and Basant Singh.

In the petition filed, Aujla said that a campaign was launched by the Punjab government to arrest Amritpal Singh. Then his colleagues were harassed but he too was targeted. A case was even registered against him under the National Security Act.

Gurinder Aujla said that after this action he was arrested and sent to Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. The petitioner said that the action was not taken against him as per the prescribed legal procedure. The petitioner has termed this action completely illegal and demanded its dismissal.
