Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya has won a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
In the men’s freestyle 57 kg final, Haryana’s Ravi lost 4-7 to Russian Olympic Committee wrestler Javur Ugev.
State Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced that in accordance with the state’s sports policy, Ravi silver medal The winner will get Rs 4 crore in cash, a Class 1 job and a Hooda plot at a discounted rate. At the same time, an indoor wrestling stadium equipped with modern facilities would also be constructed at Nahri village of Ravi Dahiya.
Ravi has become the fifth wrestler to win a medal in Olympic history. So far no one has won a gold medal in Indian wrestling. Abhinav Bindra is the only Indian to hold the record of winning a gold medal in an individual event. In the 86 kg playoffs, she lost to Miles Najam Amin of San Marino in the last 10 seconds.
