On the fourth day of the Centurion Test, Team India’s second innings was reduced to 174 runs. Rabada and Marco Jensen bowled brilliantly and both took 4-4 wickets. India have given South Africa a 305-run target based on their first innings lead, which seems unlikely to be achieved.
In fact, no team at Centurion has scored 250 or more in the fourth innings in the last 21 years. In Centurion, England scored 251 in the fourth innings against South Africa in 2000. Speaking of the fourth day, Centurion’s pitch seemed very difficult to bat, due to which it is very difficult to score more than 300 goals there. There is a lot of ‘deception’ on Centurion’s pitch. This means that the ball is sometimes bouncing extra and sometimes staying on the lower side. Let me tell you that if Team India wins the Centurion Test, it will be India’s first victory on this ground. India have previously played two Tests at Centurion’s Supersport ground and lost both. On the last tour, India lost by 135 runs at this ground. South Africa had beaten India by an innings and 25 runs in the Centurion in 2010 but now the camel is seen coming down the mountain.
