GS Sandhawalia appointed Acting Chief Justice of Punjab-Haryana High Court

Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia has been made the Acting Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Earlier, Justice Ritu Bahri, the most senior judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, was holding the post of Acting Chief Justice.

The post fell vacant after his appointment as Chief Justice of the Uttarakhand High Court. After this, GS Sandhawalia, the most senior judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice. He also worked as a lawyer in the Punjab and Haryana Bar Council.

He has also been a player representing his college and university in the sport of lawn tennis during his college days.
