Indian runner Gulveer Singh won Gold Medal in Asian Indoor Championship

India is touching the heights in the world of sports. Indian athletes are shining the name of the country. Indian runner Gulveer Singh has won the gold medal in the 3000 meters sprint in the Asian Indoor Championship.

Gulveer won the 3000m race on Monday, the last day of the competition, to give India its fourth gold medal at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championships.

Indian sprinter Gulveer took the top spot with a time of 8 minutes 07.48 seconds. Kyrgyzstan's Keneshbekov Nursultan (8:08.85) and Iran's Jalil Nasri (8:09.39) won silver and bronze respectively.

Earlier in the day, Ankita won the silver medal in the women's 3000m race with a time of 9:26.22.

Before Gulveer, on Saturday Tajinder Pal Singh Toor won gold in shot put, Jyoti Yaraji in 100m hurdles and Harmilan Bains won gold in 1500m race. India thus won four gold and one silver medal in the competition.
