By the way, Rajendra Babu was married as a child. He was married to Rajvanshi Devi at the age of 13 in his childhood. Their married life was as such happy and there was never any hindrance in their studies and other works because of that. He started his career as a lawyer and later joined the Indian independence movement. He was also a person of very gentle and serious nature. People of all classes respected him.

Talking about his political career, Dr. Rajendra Prasad was seen as a fiery activist in the Salt Satyagraha movement that started in 1930. At the same time, Rajendra Babu was also elected president in 1934 at the Mumbai session of the Indian National Congress. On the resignation of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose from the post of President, he once again took over the post of Congress President in 1939.

By the way, Dr. Rajendra Prasad was one of the main and leading leaders of the Indian independence movement and he also played a very important role as the President of the Indian National Congress. He had also contributed significantly in the making of the Indian Constitution. He also served as the Minister of Agriculture and Food in the first cabinet of India in 1946 and 1947.

Rajendra Babu took over as the country’s first President when the Constitution came into force after India became independent. His tenure as President was a long one from 26 January 1950 to 14 May 1962. On retiring from this post in 1962, he was also honored with the best title of ‘Bharat Ratna’.
