Fee receipts for Government Services on Mobile: In yet another eco-friendly initiative, the Punjab Department of Administrative Reforms (DGR) will now send the receipts of fees paid for government services at Seva Kendras to applicants via SMS on their mobile phones. It has been decided to send through, which will not only save 1.3 crore papers, but also reduce the burden of about 80 lakh rupees annually on the government exchequer.

The Administrative Reforms Minister said that digital receipts will have all the information available on normal paper receipts, but if an applicant wants to get a paper receipt, he will be given a signed and stamped receipt at no extra cost. But he also appealed to the citizens to be a part of this environment-friendly initiative of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann by not asking for paper receipts.
