Punjab Vigilance Bureau has arrested Principal Paramjit Kaur posted at Government Senior Secondary School Phase-11 Mohali. It is alleged that Paramjit Kaur has taken government job and promotion on the basis of fake degree.
Giving information in this regard, the official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that Paramjit Kaur has passed the M.Com issued by Magadh University, Bihar. Got a government job on the basis of degree. A vigilance inquiry was registered against him for not verifying the degree.
The spokesperson said that the Vigilance Bureau found during the investigation that the degree used by the said principal to get the government job was fake. Vigilance has registered a case against the principal on the charge of resorting to fake degree certificate for government job and promotion and arrested him today.
On the other hand, Harnek Singh Mavi, the former press secretary of the Government Teachers’ Union, has demanded from the government that all the facilities and salaries taken from the government treasury should be recovered from this teacher who got promotions and job by taking away the right of an eligible candidate.
He said that this is not a single case of getting a job and promotion on the basis of a fake degree, but there can be many other cases. The Vigilance Department has been requested to investigate such cases thoroughly. By doing this, more fraudulent employees will be alerted and will be prevented from looting the government treasury.
