The gangster was a resident of Sangrur
The police have arrested the accused, DGP Gaurav Yadav himself has confirmed this while tweeting. The accused were related to Bambiha gang. Gangster Sukhi Khan was injured in firing from both sides on Handyaya Road. He is a resident of village Longowal district. AGTF had intelligence input. The Bambiha Gang Gurges had come to Bathinda from Amritsar at night. Now they were going to Chandigarh from Bathinda but the police caught them.
Weapons recovered in Swift car

During the search, many weapons and cartridges were also recovered from the car. 4 members of Bambiha group, Arsh Dalla gang and Sukha Duneka gang have also been arrested. They include Sukhjinder alias Sukhi Khan, Yadwinder Singh Mulapur, Hushanpreet Singh alias Gill, Jagsir Singh alias Billa.
They were going to Mohali after robbing a car from Jalandhar
SSP Barnala Sandeep Kumar Malik said that a joint operation was conducted by AGTF and Barnala Police. The AGTF received information that the four had reached Jalandhar from Amritsar last night and had stolen the vehicle in Jalandhar. After this they reached Bathinda from Jalandhar and then they were going to Mohali to carry out the incident with ammunition.
