New Delhi. According to a big news, the NCLAT tribunal has now imposed a huge fine of Rs 1,337 crore against Google for its unfair commercial practices. Thus NCLAT has actually upheld the decision of the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

The commission had imposed a penalty of Rs 1,337.76 crore on technology company Google for indulging in anti-competitive activities in the case of Android mobile devices.

At the same time, a two-member bench of NCLAT has asked Google to comply with the instructions and deposit the fine amount within 30 days. It may be noted that on October 20 last year, the CCI had imposed a fine of Rs 1,337.6 crore on Google for indulging in anti-competitive activities in the case of Android mobile devices.

The regulator also asked the company to desist and desist from various unfair trade practices. This order of the Competition Commission was challenged in the Appellate Tribunal.
