It may be noted that on October 20 last year, the CCI had imposed a fine of Rs 1,337.6 crore on Google for indulging in anti-competitive activities in the case of Android mobile devices.
The regulator also asked the company to desist and desist from various unfair trade practices. This order of the Competition Commission was challenged in the Appellate Tribunal.
