Goldie Brar threatened to kill the Congress MLA!

Mumbai News: Mumbai Congress MLA Aslam Sheikh has been threatened with death by an unknown person calling himself gangster Goldie Brar. The police gave this information on Sunday. An FIR has been registered in this case and a team has been formed to trace the person who made the phone call, a police official said.

Brar is staying in Canada and is wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the police of several states in the country. Brar is the alleged mastermind of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder. The police officer said that Sheikh’s personal assistant and lawyer Vikram Kapoor received a call on Thursday, when the former minister was present in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation office.

The caller identified himself as gangster Goldie Brar and told Sheikh’s personal assistant that the MLA would be shot in two days and hung up. An FIR has been registered in the case against an unidentified person under sections 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) and 507 (criminal intimidation by covert means of communication) of the Indian Penal Code, the official said.

Shaikh is the MLA from the Malad seat in Mumbai in the current Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha. He was the minister in charge of Mumbai in the previous Maha Vikas Agari government.
