New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday targeted the Congress and other opposition parties, saying that their culture has been of familyism, dynasty, casteism and regionalism, while the political culture of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is to take every countryman along. Describing the BJP as synonymous with development, faith and new ideas, the Prime Minister referred to various welfare schemes, including free rations, and said social justice is the basis of his party’s ideology. The Prime Minister said that in the past many parties pretended to be political in the name of social justice and the heads of these parties continued to do good for their families.

Modi said, “They didn’t care about the society at all, whereas the BJP lives up to social justice and follows its spirit literally.” Getting 80 crore poor people free ration without any discrimination is a reflection of social justice. Providing free treatment facility up to Rs 5,00,000 to 50 crore poor without discrimination is a strong expression of social justice. He said that BJP has remained a ray of hope for the downtrodden society of the country in true sense. Targeting the opposition parties, Modi said that the culture of such parties has been of familyism, dynasty, casteism and regionalism.

He said, “Whereas the political culture of BJP is to take every countryman along. The culture of parties like the Congress is to think small, dream small and celebrate achieving even less. Happiness means patting each other on the back. The political culture of the BJP is to dream big and die hard to achieve even more.”

The Prime Minister alleged that the culture of the opposition parties does not care about the challenges faced by women while the BJP’s political culture has been to make life easier for women.
