Mansa: The fury of Ghaggar river is not stopping. After the breach of Chandpura dam in Mansa district, there is water everywhere. Water has accumulated far and wide, people have suffered huge losses. Ghaggar water has started filling in some villages of Sidhani, Bahadurgarh etc. in Haryana and many areas including Gorakhnat, Kulari of Punjab’s Mansa district have been flooded.
These days there is toxic pollution in this water, which also causes many diseases. The people of the area are very upset because of this water. The villagers said that three to four feet of water is standing and the water is continuously rising. People keep trying to block the embankment with soil by bringing tractor trolleys without any help from the government with due diligence as Ghaggar every time kills in this area. The villagers said that with this water of Ghaggar, dangerous animals, insects, crocodiles are moving to the villages.
