As soon as they came out of the hospital, three assailants killed the two brothers by shooting indiscriminately. During the entire incident, 18 rounds were fired by the accused. Immediately after the incident, the attackers surrendered to the police.

Ateeq Ahmed son of Asad Ahmed had done Sapoor-e-Khak a day earlier. The next day, his father and uncle were shot dead. Asad was killed by the UP STF during an encounter in Jhansi. Along with Asad, one of his shooters Gulab was also killed in the encounter.
