Haryana: G-20 meeting to be held in Gurugram from March 1 to 4

Gurugram: A meeting of the G20 working group will be held in Gurugram from March 1 to 4 to discuss anti-corruption measures. An official gave this information on Sunday.

District Commissioner (DC) Nishant Kumar Yadav informed that delegates from 39 countries are expected to participate in the event and during this time they will discuss the steps taken by their countries to stop corruption and tell how these steps will stop corruption. To what extent were you successful in stopping it and what more needs to be done. They will share good governance practices adopted in their countries i.e. G20 countries will try to learn from each other’s experiences.

He said that the findings of this consultation will be shared with all the participating countries and international organizations. Yadav said that corruption is a serious issue in many countries around the world and multilateral institutions including the G20 countries need to find a solution to this issue.

Senior officials of the state government and Gurugram district administration are taking all precautions to extend a grand welcome to the foreign delegates. An official said that the Gurugram district administration is organizing various programs to make the general public aware about the G20 event to be held in the city.
