In Jalandhar, Jathedar Paramjit Singh Raipur, former chairman of the Improvement Trust, close to the local MLA Parhat Singh, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Former Chairman of Improvement Trust Jathedar Paramjit Singh Raipur was earlier in Shiromani Akali Dal. In the year 2020, he left the Akali Dal and joined the Congress and supported the election of the Congress MLA Parhat Singh who came from the Akali Dal.
In Jalandhar, the opposition parties are giving blows to the Congress party. Ever since the Lok Sabha by-elections have been announced, leaders have been moving from one party to another.
