Mohali : On the hunger strike of SKM non-political leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who has been protesting in front of the PSPCL office in Patiala since June 8, where his old colleagues are raising questions, Bhalwals have also started getting support for this protest. Woman activist Vinesh Phogat arrived to support the sit-in. He said that farmers were sitting on the border of Delhi for 13 months, now they are protesting for their demands in the state. But why the government has not listened. Vinesh Phogat said that the situation in the country where sportsmen and farmers are being forced to protest can be estimated. Videsh Phogat said, ‘When I was sitting on a protest for justice, father, you did the duty of a father, today, father, you are sitting on the line for your rightful demands, I have come to do the duty of a daughter’. On the other hand, Dallewal’s old fellow farmer leader Ruldu Singh has targeted Dallewal, then Dallewal’s reply has come simultaneously.

Ruldu Singh opposed the death fast

Ruldu Singh Mansa said that he does not oppose the dharna against Manga but there is no need to fast to death, our 2 states feed the entire country, then why will we sit on a hunger strike. He said the protest for the rightful demands
It is permissible to sit on but I am against it if anyone should sit on the dead body in this way. Jagjit Singh Dallewal has also responded to this statement of Ruldu Singh Mansa, he says that everyone can have their own opinion. He stressed that some people believe that if we kill 2-4 people by protesting, people will get sympathy and the organization will grow, but our thinking is different, we should not kill the people but the people who killed us. We have chosen our leader and we are ready to die for his right.

SKM non-political demands

The most important demand of SKM non-politicians is that the government withdraws the decision of prepaid meters. In 2022, the state government took a decision on the request of the centre. Because if the Punjab government did not install prepaid meters, then the central government would have blocked the funds. Jagjit Singh Dallewal has demanded that electricity bills of up to 300 units should be waived off to the farmers unconditionally. Apart from this, 24-hour power supply should be given to agricultural motors and the contracting system should be closed. Dallewal said that the state government has taken these demands to heart in the meeting but why they are not implementing them, that is why they are sitting on death fast.
