Bachitar Singh Bikka, President of Sarbat Da Bhala Society, said that a video of Bau had gone viral from Jammu, after seeing which they came to know about Bau. In the video, it was stated that whenever the ex-serviceman went out of the house, Bau would be locked inside. After watching the video, they investigated and found that Bau belongs to Dhariwal and had separated from the family four years ago. When he went to Jammu and was freed from the jail of an ex-serviceman with the help of the police, his feet were broken and his hands were also in a bad condition. There were many injury marks on the body. He has now been reunited with his family and attempts will also be made to get compensation from his captor and employer for two years.

There, Bau’s father and cousin said that Bau had gone to Vaishno Devi about 4 years ago but did not return. The family searched for him a lot and now all hope of finding him was given up. His mother passed away in his grief and his father also started to suffer mentally.
