Chetan Singh Jauramajra: Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra has invited the farmers of the state to adopt direct sowing of fruits, vegetables, sugarcane, food processing and paddy instead of traditional agriculture to increase their income. Horticulture Minister Jodamajra arrived at Samana to inaugurate the block level farmers training camp regarding saffron crops planted by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

Addressing the farmers at Aggarwal Dharamshala Samana, Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is the first such government in the state which is running along with the farmers, laborers and traders.

He said that the AAP government is working to increase the income of farmers and reduce their agricultural expenses, for which canal water will be brought to tills in the farmers’ fields. He said that it has also happened for the first time that all the government departments are providing government services to the people by reaching the lower level and such farmer camps are also being organized continuously, where the farmers are informed about the paddy season, good seeds and underground soil. All necessary information including saving water has been given.
