In Muktsar district of Punjab, angry farmers stopped the traffic on Muktsar-Malot road on Sunday due to the theft of electricity cables from their fields. Giving information, Sarpanch Darshan Singh, Gurdev Singh Dhigana, Beant Singh, Ranbir Singh, Vakil Singh, Sukhdev Singh farmers said that it has been a week. Thieves steal the power lines passing through their fields, due to which they have to face problems.

He said that thieves steal electricity wires from fields every day. Many times he has collected money and installed the wires himself, but thieves steal the wires by cutting them at night. Angry farmers said that an attempt was made to steal power lines by cutting the running line at 12 midnight on Saturday. Some people called the brigade, which prevented the wires from being stolen.

The police also reached the spot and cleared the way
He said that he has informed the administration, police and electricity board about this several times but no one has solved his problem. On the other hand, as soon as the protest came to know, the police reached the spot and opened the blockade after talking to the farmers. Meanwhile, the farmers also accused the police of not taking action against the thieves. Farmers have warned not to open the jam.
