Bus overturned while saving Activa in Zirakpur

Road Accident in Zirakpur: A Haryana Roadways bus traveling from Chandigarh to Delhi overturned near the newly constructed flyover at the Zirakpur-Chandigarh barrier. Activa hit the bus divider and overturned in the middle of the road to save the passenger. It is being told that the Activa rider was coming from the wrong side. There were a total of 15 passengers in the bus, out of which 4-5 have sustained minor injuries.

There are no reports of any casualties. After the bus overturned, the passengers were taken out safely by breaking the rear window. After the incident, there was a long traffic jam towards Chandigarh.

As soon as the incident was reported, the Zirakpur police took control of the situation and called a crane to straighten the bus and diverted the traffic from under the flyover to the service road. Due to collision with the divider, the speed of the bus slowed down, due to which a major accident was avoided.

Let us tell that these days the work of flyover is going on at Singhpura turn of Zirakpur. Work is progressing at a very slow pace. Due to which the condition of the roads is bad. Not only this, the situation worsens during the rainy season. The flyover is being constructed, but is not yet ready for road maintenance and traffic. Due to which people are facing difficulty in commuting.
