Farmers have decided to jam railway tracks across Punjab at 1 pm today in protest against lathicharge.
Farmers and farm laborers in Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Ferozepur, Bathinda, Amritsar, Patiala, Ropar etc. will sit on railway tracks and express their anger under the banner of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee. Farmer leaders said that the Bhagwant Maan government has lathi-charged the farmers who were protesting peacefully.
Farmer leader Harpreet Singh said that it is their right to fight for their rights. But the Punjab government is also lathi-charging those who fight for their rights. He said that the railway tracks will be blocked in Punjab at 1 pm today.
