On the call of Bharat Bandh today at 9 am, the Joint Action Committee of the Punjab Secretariat closed the gate of the Punjab Civil Secretariat and started the rally and all the work of the Secretariat was stopped. It has been learned from the sources that due to this rally, an important meeting of Chief Minister Punjab which was to be held at the Secretariat at 11:00 in the morning had to be postponed. Strong anger was seen among the employees of the secretariat against the Punjab government.

The special feature of this rally was that while addressing the Chief Minister during this rally, a survey was conducted to vote in the parliamentary elections by raising the hands of thousands of employees sitting in the crowd.

In this survey, the employees gave 100 percent support to the Aam Aadmi Party by raising their hands in favor of not voting in the 2024 parliamentary elections. Bularia said that if the AAP government does not accept their demands soon, then after a week, efforts will be started to defeat the AAP government in the parliamentary elections of 2024 by conducting hundreds of such surveys and through major actions.

In this rally, the speakers targeted the Aam Aadmi Party and said whether this party has left behind the traditional parties of Punjab in slandering and absorbing employees. It was alleged by them that AAP made many promises to the employees to capture the power of Punjab and by participating in the employee's rallies, they accused the other political parties of cheating Punjab and the employees and the rights of the employees. They refuse to give demands.

While now the Aam Aadmi Party is occupying the power of Punjab and doing everything that traditional parties used to do. The spokesperson said whether the demands of the employees like restoration of old pension, withdrawal of letter dated 15.01.2015, giving the benefit of promotion and 15% pay commission to the employee, due amount of D.A. and arrears of release etc. are pending.

The employee leaders told the press that if the administration or the government did not pay attention to their demands next week, then after holding a rally at Secretariat-2 at the end of next week, an employee movement against the government will be raised across Punjab.
