A person was shot dead in Sunam. A friend of the deceased has been accused of murder. Both of them had a minor quarrel at the sports fair. After receiving the information about the murder, the police reached the spot and took the body to the government hospital after investigation.
A youth Sukhjinder Singh of village Sinhapura was shot dead near Sunam Sangrur scissors on local Patiala road in Sunam. After committing the incident, his friend escaped from the spot. The incident is said to have taken place around midnight.
The incident took place after a dispute at a dhaba. After reaching the dhaba, the two friends had food. When Sukhwinder Singh went to wash his hands after eating, his friend fired 6 bullets at him with a pistol and killed him and escaped from the spot.
The police have taken possession of the dead body and kept it in the government hospital of Sunam for post-mortem. The friend took the friend’s life because of what was said and heard in the sports fair.
