He said that in Fatehgarh Sahib district, instead of the target, 134.6 percent admissions were made, while Ferozepur, Barnala, Amritsar, Bathinda, Kapurthala, Patiala, SBS. Nagar, Malerkotla, Fazilka, Tarn Taran and Sangrur districts also registered 103.44 admissions from 128.28 percent.
He said that from the overwhelming response of the people to the admission campaign, it is clear that the people have stamped the policy adopted by the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann towards education. He said that the Bhagwant Mann government has taken many initiatives to improve school education, mainly schools of eminence, making government schools four-walled, constructing new rooms, providing clean bathrooms to school students. Apart from conducting, timely provision of school uniforms and books is included. He said that the government led by Bhagwant Mann has recruited the most number of teachers in the first year itself.
Minister Harjot Bains said that this campaign will continue till March 31, 2023 in every government school in Punjab. Finally, he said that the target set regarding admissions has been achieved only because of the cooperation of all the teachers.
