Guwahati: An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 was felt in central Assam on Monday. Even before this, earthquake tremors were felt in Assam. The National Center for Seismology gave this information. The center said the quake hit Hojai town in Nagaon district, located on the south bank of the Brahmaputra, about 180 km from Guwahati district, at around 11.57 am.

The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers from the ground. The tremors of Monday’s earthquake were felt in several districts of Assam as well as some areas of south-western parts of Nagaland. As of now, there is no news of any damage or casualties due to the earthquake.
