Incidents of mobile phones being found in prisons are constantly coming to light. The process of finding drugs and mobile phones from Ferozepur Central Jail also continues. The police have recovered 2 mobile phones and narcotics from the convict in jail. After seizing the recovered goods, the jail administration lodged a complaint with the city police, on the basis of which a case has been registered against unknown accused including Halaliya in 2 separate cases.
In the complaint given to the Ferozepur City Police, Assistant Superintendent of Jail Nirmaljit Singh has stated that he along with jail employees were searching Barrack No. 3 of Block No. 2. Meanwhile, a touch screen phone was recovered from Havalati Aman. After this, another touch mobile phone was recovered during the search in the back part of the barracks.
In the second case, Assistant Jail Superintendent Jasveer Singh has said that during the search in Barrack No. 2 of Block No. 2, 23 grams of brown drug was recovered hidden under the ground. ASI Gurmail Singh of Ferozepur City police station said that a case has been registered against Havalati Aman Kumar, a recent resident of Canal Colony Ferozepur police station.
