Dr. Baljit Kaur assured the Anganwadi Union of solving their legitimate demands

Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the legitimate demands of the Anganwadi workers of the state will be considered and resolved soon.

The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to fulfilling the legitimate demands of the employees of the state. Under this commitment, the Minister for Social Security, Women and Child Development Dr. Baljit Kaur held a meeting with All Punjab Anganwadi Mulajam Union (Reg:) to resolve their legitimate demands.

During the meeting, among the major demands put forward by the unions, the children from 3 years to 6 years of Anganwadi centers of Punjab should be sent back to the centers, Aganwadi worker should be given the status of pre-nursery teacher and the honorarium of workers and helpers should be doubled.

Apart from this, recruitment of the posts of Anganwadi workers and helpers by the union, giving smart phones to the workers, p. Demands such as release of pending funds from MVY 2017, full Anganwadi worker status to mini Anganwadi worker and building of Anganwadi sitters with modern facilities were raised.

On this occasion Additional Chief Secretary Social Security, Women and Child Development Mrs. Raji P. Srivastava, Director Social Security, Women and Child Development Department Mrs. Madhvi Kataria, Deputy Director Rupinder Kaur were specially present.
