Pakistan Gurudwara: Mischievous elements forcibly entered the Singh Sabha Gurdwara complex in Sukkur city of Sindh province of Pakistan and abused the Granthis and Ragis and asked them to stop kirtan.

Many local Sikhs and Hindus present at the historic Gurdwara Sahib alleged that mischievous elements have also desecrated the holy Guru Granth Sahib of the Sikhs. They allege that the miscreants handed over to the police were released without investigation and interrogation.

Ragi Ajay Singh of the Gurdwara said that he was doing kirtan when suddenly the volume of the loudspeaker went down. There was an uproar in the shrine. Kirtan was stopped. He said that for the last 100 years, reading and kirtan have been taking place in this gurdwara. Never gave any trouble to anyone. He said that in relation to this incident of Sikhs and Hindus, neither an FIR was registered nor the accused were arrested.

Another incident of harassment of minorities has come to light after Pakistan’s Sindh terrorizing Sikh pilgrims and desecrating the Granth Sahib in the country. Puneet Singh Chandok, president of Indian World Forum, shared the video of this entire trouble on Twitter.

In the video shared by Chandok, Sikhs are seen distressed. Chandok wrote on Twitter, “Disturbing video of #Hindus and #Sikhs in #Pakistan. In #Sukkur #Sindh, goons entered the Gurdwara, abused the sanctity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and terrorized the devotees.” He alleged that the oppression of minorities in Pakistan by the government of Pakistan is continuing.
