Doctors monitoring the student’s condition said that Susrunya Koduru’s health is fine even without a ventilator and if her recovery continues, she will not need a ventilator. Koduru’s parents said that his US visa has been approved and will come next week.

Kuduru’s cousin Surinder Kumar Kotha said that she first went into cardiac arrest for 20 minutes when she was struck by lightning and fell into the pond. After this her brain was severely damaged after which she went into a coma. Kuduru’s family is appealing for funds for treatment through “GoFundMe”.
It is being told that Kuduru came to America for further studies and was a post-graduation student in Information Technology at the University of Houston. She had almost completed her syllabus and was waiting for an internship opportunity.
